Edition #1/24

#1/24 | Hyperpolarised MRI / Prostate Cancer
Date:

7 May 2024, 15.00h CEST

Title:

Clinical and biological validation of hyperpolarised MRI of prostate cancer

Speaker:

Nikita Sushentsev, Cambridge

Chairs & Dicussion Lead:

Jordi Llop, San Sebastián & Bert Windhorst, Amsterdam

About the speaker

Nikita obtained his PhD at the University of Cambridge, working closely with Prof Ferdia Gallagher and Dr Tristan Barrett. He is now a Research Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, a postdoctoral position in which he continues his research into metabolic imaging of prostate cancer.

Working across the scales of multiple spatially resolved techniques, Nikita is trying to identify distinct metabolic features of specific prostate cancer phenotypes, which can be imaged clinically to improve diagnosis and risk-stratification. In his talk, he will focus on the potential advantages and limitations of hyperpolarised 13C-MRI to improve the characterisation of intermediate-risk disease.

Edition #2/24

#2/24 | Microscopy / Tissues

About the speaker

Ravian L. van Ineveld is a postdoctoral researcher and microscopy facility manager at the Princess Maxima Center in Utrecht, where he obtained his PhD and is a member of the Anne Rios group.

He specializes in advancing fluorescence microscopy technologies for paediatric oncology research, particularly focusing on multispectral 3D confocal microscopy, organoid imaging, and AI-powered image analysis.
