Hotel Scam & Attendee List Warning

BEWARE of possible Hotel Fraud

We have received reports of unsolicited emails from unofficial companies offering hotel bookings for the EMIM 2026. The ESMI has not subcontracted any hotel service providers or “Hotel Allocator” companies like Global Travel, G Travel Service or any other (fake) company – please be aware of possible fraudulent offers and do not provide any data or payments!

These unauthorized companies aggressively target attendees with promises of discounted hotel rates or to confirm non-existing bookings. Unfortunately, some past participants have been misled, resulting in lost deposits, invalid bookings, or unconfirmed reservations, causing significant inconvenience.

Each participant is responsible for booking their own hotel / accommodation in Ljubljana – read more about travel here!

BEWARE of Attendee List Scam

It has come to our attention that companies are contacting speakers, attendees and sponsors, claiming to offer our attendee lists. The ESMI does not sell its meeting registration lists nor authorize any third party to distribute or sell attendee lists, or lists related to any ESMI event or membership.

If you receive an email offering to sell you a list of ESMI conference attendees, do not respond to it. By responding – even with a request to unsubscribe – you confirm that your email address is a valid one, which may increase the likelihood that you’ll be contacted again.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience that these spammers cause you!
