join us in Würzburg for our GyMIC event 2024 on 28 October!

It is our greatest pleasure to invite you to Würzburg for our one-day, open-science, and networking event hosted and organized by the German young Molecular Imaging Community (GyMIC) – the German young ESMI group.

WHEN? Monday 28 October 2024
from 9.00h to 16.00h
(with optional arrival and informal evening event on Sunday 27 October)

WHERE? University of Würzburg, Comprehensive Heart Failure Center Wuerzburg (Am Schwarzenberg 15, Würzburg)

WHO? The event is primarily designed for early-career investigators, but participation is in no way limited.

WHAT? We’ll enjoy scientific talks and learn about different career paths, we’ll explore the local lab, and go for a common excursion to the “Röntgen Memorial“.

Be invited to bring your work as a poster (no abstract necessary) and put it up for discussion over lunch.

Moreover, we’ll hear, discuss, and learn about the often unconcious problem of “unconcious bias”… learn more about the programme here.

Who we are and why you should join

We are the young German Molecular Imaging Community (GyMIC): a pioneering imaging science community in Germany run by early-career researchers who promotes the formation of a strong network of ECR’s working in the broad and multidisciplinary field of imaging science. Since its foundation in 2018, GyMIC is one of the driving forces of the youngESMI initiative.

We are particularly offering MSc/PhD students and early career post-docs an easy and informal entry into the broader international imaging community. In this sense, GyMIC pursue to attract young imaging scientists to the “mother” society – the ESMI.
