Next Edition on 7 May on “Immuno-Oncology & PET Imaging”
This is a series of short webinars highlighting the outstanding work of the finalists of the ESMI Award for Excellent PhD Thesis – the highest merit of the society presented to an early-career scientists for their outstanding thesis work.
Immuno-Oncology & PET Imaging | 7 May 2025
Date/Time:
7 May 2025, from 15.00h to 15.45h CEST
Talk Title:
89Zr-PET imaging for clinical insights into the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors
Speaker:
Laura Kist de Ruijter, Groningen
Dicussion Lead:
Manfred Kneiling, Tübingen
Organizer:
Dutch and Spanish young ESMI Group
Chairs: Wouter van der Heijden, Amsterdam & Mario González Arjona, Madrid
The speaker: Laura Kist de Ruijter

Laura obtained her PhD at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, at the department of Medical Oncology in the research group of Elisabeth de Vries. She is currently working as an MD/rheumatologist in training at the department of internal medicine at the Deventer Hospital.
This webinar will highlight several PET studies from her PhD with 89Zr-antibody tracers, exploring factors related to the effects of immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with cancer, as well as their potential as a biomarker to predict treatment outcomes.
Registration is free of charge, but obligatory. Webinars are held via Zoom and open to all (members and non-members). All yESMInars are recorded.
