The ESMI Award 2018 was presented in the scope of the Opening Ceremony in San Sebastián. The winner 2018 is MICKAEL TANTER – congratulations! All ESMI members had been invited to nominate their favourite candidates – thanks to all of you who actively participated.
The Laudation Speech was given by Annemie van der Linden and Chrit Moonen.
ESMI YIA 2018
The three finalists were selected in accordance with the scores given by independent reviewers in a completely blind reviewing process. The winner and the finalists:
The Young Investigator Award 2018 was presented to:
- Marjory Koller from Groningen for her work on Quantitative Molecular Fluorescence Endoscopy: a new and promising tool to Predict and Evaluate Response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer patients
The further YIA finalists:
- Janette Iking from Munster on In vivo imaging of human monocyte trafficking in a preclinical model of mouse myocardial infarction to study mononuclear cell function in the context of cardiovascular diseases
- Markus Seeger from Munich on Hybrid label-free microscopy by means of optical-resolution optoacoustic and non-linear optical modalities
EMIM 2018 Poster Awards
27 thematic poster walks were scheduled with no other competing sessions in parallel. Each of the poster walks was chaired by two chair persons and resulted into an EMIM 2018 poster award.
