Meet the Keynote Speakers
Susan M. Gasser – Director of the ISREC Foundation, Lausanne

Susan M. Gasser is a molecular biologist whose research combined genetics, in vivo imaging and multiomic analyses to probe the role of chromatin and nuclear organization in cell fate decisions and genome stability.
As Director of the ISREC Foundation she has overseen biomedical research in neurobiology, organoid biology, epigenetics and precision oncology. She held professorships at the University of Geneva, the University of Basel and Lausanne.
Margret Schottelius – Group leader Translational Radiopharmaceutical Sciences, AGORA

Margret Schottelius is an Associate Professor at CHUV/UNIL and an adjunct scientist at the Ludwig Cancer Research Institute in Lausanne.
Her group focuses on the design, synthesis, and preclinical characterization of novel radiolabeled molecules for the non-invasive imaging of various biological processes in the human body. Her work has brought over ten tracers into first-in-man studies, with several advancing into clinical trials.
Alexandre Bénéchet – Director In Vivo Imaging Facility IVIF, Lausanne

Alexandre Bénéchet obtained his PhD in Immunology at the University of Connecticut USA. He was trained as a Post-doc in the Matteo Iannacone’s lab in Milan. After more than ten years in Immunology and developping intravital imaging he started the In Vivo Imaging Facility for the UNIL/CHUV community back in 2018.
David Viertl – Director In Vivo Imaging Facility IVIF, Lausanne

David Viertl is managing the microPET/SPECT/CT imaging facility of the nuclear medicine department, where he participates to the preclinical development of novel radiotracers and their translation into clinical applications.
