WHAT
We – the Dutch young Molecular Imaging Community (DyMIC) – invite you to a free half-day event in Utrecht dedicated to one of the most valuable skills for today’s researchers: communicating your science through meaningful data visualisation.
In an increasingly competitive research environment, it is no longer enough to generate excellent data. Whether you are preparing a grant application, manuscript, conference abstract, poster, or presentation, your ability to highlight the key message quickly and convincingly can make a real difference. At a time when reviewers and audiences are confronted with an ever-growing amount of information – and when AI tools make content generation easier than ever – clarity, focus, and originality in scientific communication have become more important than ever.
This DyMIC event is not about creating prettier graphs or mastering specific software tools. Instead, we will focus on how to look at your data critically, identify the most important message, and present it in a way that is scientifically rigorous, visually engaging, and free of unnecessary overload.
We warmly invite you to join us in Utrecht for an inspiring afternoon of discussion, reflection, and hands-on learning.
Programme
The programme will combine:
- expert insights
- interactive discussions and
- a practical/hands-on workshop.
Guided by experts in the field, we will explore how thoughtful data visualisation strengthens publications, conference submissions, presentations, and funding applications.
