From Submission to Selection – and Back Again: Cracking the Abstract Code

It is our greatest pleasure to invite you to Leiden for an intensive half-day “From Submission to Selection – and back again” event by DyMIC.
The event is hosted and organized by the Dutch young Molecular Imaging Community (DyMIC) – the Dutch young ESMI group.
WHEN?
Friday 17 October 2025
from 13:00h – 17:00h
– with a subsequent informal open Apéro
WHERE? Leiden Medical Centre (LUMC)
WHO? The event is primarily designed for early-career investigators, but participation is in no way limited.
WHAT?
Ever wondered what really happens after you click “submit” on your abstract? In this two-part session, we will first step inside the minds of reviewers to uncover how abstracts are evaluated, what makes them stand out, and the common pitfalls.
Then, we will flip perspectives and put that insider knowledge into practice, learning how to put your science project into an convincing abstract that survives the selection process.
