Annually the society offers two awards acknowledging outstanding scientific contributions to the field of imaging science:
ESMI Award
The ESMI Award is presented to an excellent scientist for their outstanding long-term contribution to the interdisciplinary research in Imaging Science. The nominee must have contributed significantly to the knowledge in this field.
ESMI PhD Award
The ESMI Award for an Excellent PhD Thesis is presented to encourage and recognise outstanding research conducted by its early-career members. Through this award, we are proud to highlight their achievements, raise awareness of their work, and acknowledge their valuable contributions to both the field and the society.
